Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend. 1) Matt Livadary always wanted to be a cowboy, and on his quest to accomplish his dream, he came across the IGRA, the International Gay Rodeo Association. So this straight city boy followed LGBT cowboys on the road for a year and decided to tell their story in the documentary QUEENS & COWBOYS: A Straight Year on the Gay Rodeo. Watch the trailer below and help him complete his project. Head to his Kickstarter page for more information. Binary DataFUnso-5d6mc2) Details have surfaced about Chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt and Sean Hayes' upcoming project. The Will & Grace alumnus will play half of a same-sex couple faced with the trials and tribulations of raising a 12-year-old boy. The project is still in development, but it is set to air on NBC next year. 3) Lesbian recording artists Mirah and Tender Forever have teamed up on an orchestral dance-pop track titled "Low Self Control." It includes a rap in Tender Forever's native language, French. Mirah says of the song: “I was riding my bike around San Francisco and stopped next to a car that was playing a hot summer jam. It made me want to write something that would sound that good with summertime windows all rolled down. Lyrically, I was trying to express a true life story of no-self control, low self esteem and unabating, inappropriate and distracting lust.” Listen to "Low Self Control"here. 4) In other music news, out singer-songwriter Holly Miranda is trying to raise money to record her next album via pledgemusic.com. The trumpet, piano and guitar player released an album last year under the XL Recordings label but went the fundraising route this time to maintain creative control with her next record. 5) Designer and Project Runway judge Michael Kors tied the knot last Tuesday with longtime partner Lance LePere. The two gathered with friends on a Southampton, N.Y., beach to say their "I dos" in a private ceremony. 6) Another out designer is making marriage news this week. Kenneth Cole did not get married, but his label just released a new series of social justice related ads. Among those is a collaboration with director Sean Ellis on a marriage equality ad. Watch it below. 7) For those who are sad to see Teddy being downgraded to fewer episodes on 90210, here is some good news. The CW announced yesterday that a new gay character is coming to the series. Former TeenNick star Ryan Rottman is set to guest-star as a smart, handsome and proud gay man who is dedicated to the passage of marriage equality.
